The next generation of David Lloyd Funerals
Douglas Kilgour Lloyd, the son of David Lewis Lloyd and grandson to the original David Lloyd, joined the family business. Douglas saw active service during WWII in the RAAF. Following the war, Douglas took over the running of David Lloyd Funerals after his father and brother passed away. Under Douglas's direction, David Lloyd Funerals expanded throughout the Newcastle area and began providing funeral services to new communities groups, including the region's Jewish, Greek, Serbian and Italian communities.
